This is a seasonal position. May through August. Perfect for college and university students.
This position may require flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, particularly during the peak harvest season. Generally, Monday to Friday and some Saturdays. 30-48 hours per week. Preferred start date May 5, 2025.
Competitive wages commensurate with experience.
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Berry Farm Worker to assist with various farm tasks, including but not limited to planting, maintaining, harvesting, and post-harvest processing of haskap berries and black currants. This hands-on role requires a commitment to the farm’s standards and a passion for agriculture.


Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in planting and cultivating berry bushes, ensuring proper spacing and soil care for optimal growth.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as pruning, weeding, and pest monitoring to encourage healthy crop yields
- Actively engage in the harvest process, ensuring that only the ripest and highest quality fruits are selected.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment used for berry cultivation and harvesting.
- Assist in post-harvest duties, including sorting, grading, packaging, and preparing berries for sale or processing
- Report any plant diseases, pest issues, or crop concerns to the farm supervisor promptly.
- Engage in general farm upkeep tasks, such as maintaining farm buildings and fence lines.
- Provide support to other farm initiatives, such as agrotourism events or farmers’ markets, when needed
