Peppers and Pollinators

It’s cold outside and it is February but it is also time for us to plant this year’s Habanero peppers for our Black Currant Habanero Jam and start some pollinator friendly flowers for our honey bees and bumble bees.

We choose to grow our own Habanero’s so that the “heat’ in our Black Currant Habanero Jam will be consistent from year to year.

We are on a mission to increase our pollinator friendly habitat every year for a few reasons. We prefer flowers to weeds. We have bee hives and happy bee hives are healthy bee hives. Healthy bees pollinate our fruit and last but not least: bees are cool!
